Hair Restoration FAQ
We Restore More Than Just Your Hair
We Restore More Than Just Your Hair
Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked hair loss questions we receive. If your question is not answered on this page, please feel free to contact us for additional information.
The answer to this hair loss question depends largely on what type of hair restoration procedure or solution you are receiving. Hair transplant cost is priced on how many treatments you will require. The best way to determine the cost of your individual hair restoration need is to set up a complimentary consultation with our professional, experienced staff, who can help you find the right solution to fit your needs.
Men and women with hereditary hair loss, medically related hair loss – such as from alopecia or chemotherapy – thinning hair and more are all good candidates. However, it is important that patients understand the limitations of their selected hair restoration procedure. Though Van Scoy uses the most advanced techniques to provide outstanding results, we will be honest about patient expectations. We went to set you up for a realistic hair restoration goal. One of the most important factors in hair restoration, is how much hair loss a patient is likely to face later in their life. Our surgeons and staff are equipped to help patients determine the right course of treatment and a realistic expectation of hair recovery.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this hair loss question and no set age to determine when someone can benefit from this surgical procedure. Our surgeons provide advanced transplants with excellent results. However, this procedure does not suit every patient at every level of hair loss and age. It is important to anticipate and understand future hair loss. Our surgeons and staff can help you determine if transplants are your ideal solution and when to pursue them. Schedule a complimentary consultation for more information.
A very important point to keep in mind is the volume of hair one can hope to achieve based on the number of grafts. There is only so much donor hair available. If your hair transplantation proposal from another hair restoration clinic is primarily based on a price per number of grafts, you may end up with SEE-THROUGH HAIR.
Our unique method helps us to ascertain precisely the proper amount of hair available without bankrupting your donor area. At Van Scoy Hair Clinics, with the skills of PAI Medical Group’s® surgeon, the goal is to ensure the most natural appearance possible at an affordable price based on individual hair loss needs.

Because of our Multi-Unit Hair Grafting (MUHG)® procedure, 70% of Van Scoy Hair Clinic’s patients require only one surgery. However, some patients might want more hair as a personal preference, so the procedure can be repeated to accommodate this.
Generally, the hair begins to grow within three to five months after the procedure and the number of new hairs will continue to increase for the next 8 to 12 months with a proper hair hygiene program.
