Permanent Natural Hair Restoration to Last a Lifetime
The Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) Hair Transplant is the most discreet hair transplant that offers several big benefits like; minimal downtime, no hair transplant signs, and no linear scars.
The FUE Hair Transplant gives patients the benefits of a traditional hair transplant procedure and in most cases, leaves absolutely no detectable signs even the very next day!
Van Scoy introduces this hair transplant technique to patients throughout Ohio. FUE allows you to enjoy having minimal changes in life style and an unchanged appearance for those who want to return to work and their normal activities as quickly as possible. This method of hair transplantation was created to cater to the life of people on the go, but it can be performed on anyone who wants to keep their hair transplant a secret.
The FUE Hair Transplant has only a small number of hair grafts that are transplanted during one session to minimize the post operative appearance of the procedure. During each session the patient receives a maximum of 500 hair grafts. Each session only takes 3-4 hours and is ideal for patients who want utmost privacy and who need only a small area of hair restored.
FUE Hair Transplants are becoming incredibly popular at Van Scoy. These mini FUE sessions are trending in the field of hair restoration, and have been expanded to serve the needs of many more patients by overwhelming demand.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) at Van Scoy involves the use of tiny punches (0.8 mm, 0.9 mm, and 1 mm in diameter), by a punch device. This is used to remove individual follicular units. The punches are very small which is why they do not leave a scar when healed. The hair on the back of the head is first shaved down to 2-3 mm. The patient must be placed prone position in order to allow the doctor and technicians the space to work. The working area is anesthetized and cleaned. The punch is used to remove hair in a random or scattered manner, leaving hair in between the units harvested. The space left between harvested hair depends on hair density and thickness. Visualization of the follicular unit angle with the skin is important to minimize damage to the growth centers of the hair. After the follicular units are harvested, they are re-implanted into the front of the scalp using more standard techniques. The finished outcome is amazing, and is the newest technique used to transplant hair for those who qualify as a candidate.
